Most older folks in the Denver metro area know of this loco. Ralph MacAllister had a large backyard live steam railroad in his back yard in Boulder. Next to the Holiday drive in north Boulder. Rode behind this loco several times, one outing with the Rocky Mountain RR Club. It is one impressive piece of machinery. I think it went to the Royal Gorge after Ralph died. Ralph had two other locos that were equally impressive.
A lot of people knew of Ralph's trains. They should add to this thread as Ralph's story is fascinating as well as his genius.
