Well for some reason, most of his comments were deleted when I posted. Will try again...
"You know that when the mudhens first came out they were assigned that is they nearly always had the same engineer and fireman and they worked between Salida and Gunnison except for the 463 which was put on the Crested Butte run and when I was crew caller, when I first went on the RR if I knew the engine number, I could give you the name of the engineer and fireman without looking at the register.
