** Yes, for a few years. The original siding was a stub siding that went into the woods, giving crews a place to set out cars to double the hill. When the mainline reaches Head Tide, the siding will be rebuilt just as it was in the 1920's.

** Yes, it's a bit more work but it will give us a run around track so the engine can lead for the full trip. This will be the set-up for a number of years because there are some grade problems to fix going north including a washout and landslide. There's also a bridge to build over Trout Brook. The TOM run around will help with passenger and work trains until the mainline reaches Head Tide where the next passing siding will be built.
