Thanks Craig and everbody. William sent me a sketch by email of the old trackage which is what I needed.
I have seen the operation in diesel days with the different new track. I saw it with a pair of GP30's as power and watched the mine workers ride the cars to the two storage tracks as well as the caboose with Rio Grande crew working the brake. Their coupling was a smooth as a "kiss" obviously from much experience. The mine crew and cars on the other hand was a different story. Those guys jumped off the gondolas about 20 ft before the coupling occured with a very pronounced "BAM" and dust flying everywhere.
