Whadda ya mean, imitates a model railroad? The CRRM has a little over 14 acres to display over 100 pieces of equipment and then operate 6 locomotives, both steam and diesel. The Museum used to operate on 1/4 mile of track. Runs were back up and run forward. 15 years ago adjacent property was purchased (that made 14 acres) allowing the completion of the loop, Along with a 5 stall roundhouse and a turntable and 1/4 mile of track with two 4% sections. Then add in a speed restriction of 10 mph and then try to operate without running slack in and out, or throwing passengers on the floor. It takes more expertise to operate at the CRRM than running out and backing in on the flat.
Imitates a tabletop model railroad? I don't think so.
