Geese, 315, all visiting equipment comes/goes at that end of C&TS track, which has a lower back-in clearing allowing lowboy access from the parallel street.
I've watched this happen a couple times.
Even though that longest stretch of the wye only sees occasional use (Fourth of July fireworks trains, visiting locosl/Geese), I'd sure hate to see a derailment happen here. Those "ties" are a disaster waiting to happen.
The Abq 2926 rebuild site's 1937-built spur in similar condition just got totally rebuilt, would never have supported a loaded '26 when it leaves for trials next year.
How about using MW02/108/Matilda the Railbus for those short trips?
Holds a half-dozen riders, is sitting near the Ant car shop, getting run into by errant switch moves, its front bumper now fixed after somebody ran a coupler into it.
After a bit of minor rehab would be perfect for short runs out of Chama.
