Charlie,

Not a big deal. Being fired from the Railroad would equate to a disciplinary suspension from any other industry. Alva probably broke a rule that some Trainmaster wrote him up for. He was fairly tried and fired by the same officials that accused him and was probably suspended for a period of between 30 to 180 days.

Happened to almost all of us.
