On the "Durango" Parlor Car

To add a bit to what Jerry has mentioned, The Shavano Drumhead was attached to the rear of the Durango Parlor Car about 1947. I think there was a debate on this page a few years back that they put it on to remember the former Shavano Train. But there was one of the old rail heads that posted that is was more likly that one of the San Juan Drumheads was damaged and they took the Shavano out of storage to replace the damaged one.
The later theory makes sense because they waited until 1947 to install it, had they really had the Shavano on their minds I think they would have installed in much earlier.
There was a San Juan Drumhead in a private collection, of which pictures were posted here, so we know at least one of the San Juan Drumheads is still out there.
