Rich, I currently shoot with a Nikon D90 with an 18-200 Nikkor lens (one lens does everything to minimize the dust on sensor problem). But except for this recent visit, all my White Pass stuff was shot with film before I went to the dark side. The D90 is a couple of generations old by cutting edge standards and is still overkill for many uses. The digital technology is so good that you can get virtually the same results with a cheap point and shoot, or even a good cell phone camera. I think a lot of serious photogs have learned that all the equipment they really need for most situations can fit into a shirt pocket. For one trip on the Canadian I borrowed my wife's point and shoot and got one shot that looked just fine blown up to 11x14.
