Re: The Tomahawk & Western RR (w/ pics)

I have wanted to see this movie for year, I really enjoyed it. But one of the myths that watching that got blown away is the Green Caboose #0579 that Accucraft made, I had alway thought that it was one that they had used in the movie. The story that I heard was that the movie crew painted it green and when they were done the D&RGW just over painted the movie lettering with a green paint and left it that way, after all if it had a good coat of paint why spend the money to repaint it red when green would work just fine.

All well still a very good movie with great footage of something we all love. I give it .

PS Well it is egg on my face, right story about a movie just the wrong movie, it was the Denver and Rio Grande.
