The SP had one main depot site in Los Angeles on which two different depots were erected. The Arcade Station and its 1915 replacement, Central Station, was located on the west side of Alameda Street with the passengers entering from Central Avenue. The site was bounded on the north by Fourth Street and on the south by Sixth Street.
This is about 3/4 mile south on Alameda from the main passenger entrance at LAUPT [old name was Los Angeles Union Passenger Terminal]
I'm not sure when the building was torn down. But it was used to embark Japanese internees in 1942.
