Thats correct Dave. For example if 484 ran 147 days each year, then it would be ready for boiler work in 10 years. I think the mainline excursion outfits mostly make it the full 15 years as they don't run very often as a rule. I would think the C&TS and D&S run each engine a bunch each year, but try to make it close to the 15 years if possible.
Would be interesting to know the days and years of each of the D&S and C&TS engine.
