Re: The Last Rotary, Charter, etc Before Internet

I posted it because it is historic to the C&TS historical type folks. After all this was the last time the C&TS ran the Rotary, and the info gave a window into some of the preparations, along with the plans for the 2-days of charters. To clarify, the first charter day with a passenger train in the morning and freight in the afternoon, was what turned out to be "Chased By A Steam Train" Volumes one and two. I set-up the Betacam SP on a tripod on the rear platform of a coach pulled by #19, and shot back on the 484 on both trips. Its pretty cool to see the engine working the entire trip. To me it was better than a cab ride, cause you can see so much more of the engine, hear the stack talk, and see the entire line very well. For those not familiar here is a link to the previews.
