I remember him telling me one time about crawling over Cascade Trestle on his hands and knees in a terrible snowstorm to a callbox when his train was stuck. That might have been the big storm in the 50's that had all those engines stranded.
Woody arranged for me to ride a few trips with his permission, and they were among the best times I have ever had.
I'm sorry to hear of his passing, and I hope he had a good life until the end.
