Speak with the local corrections unit and have them send out some miscreants to pull brush alongside the wire's path. While I was up exploring the Highline on the D&SNG a few years back around the site of the long since burned trestle at m.p. 470 lying in the bush was the telegraph wire. I was surprised it wasn't copper but what looked to me like No8 fencing wire of which I had strung miles of working on my Father's farm.
