Re: Carson & Colorado (SPNG) Then and Now #56

This shot of Queens was made by Photographer Andrew A. Forbes. The # at the bottom left hand corner was the photo number not date. Forbes made much of his money shooting photos and selling them around the country.
Forbes moved to Bishop Ca. in 1909 and married Mary Prutsman of Bishop and continued in his photography business. Forbes died in 1921.Forbes had shot many other photos of the Nevada & California RR.
We have dated this photo of Queens circa 1909 to 1917 considering the date that Forbes moved into the Bishop area and comparing it to 2 other photos I have of Queens as well as the ICC reports.
A copy of the original post card that I have appeared in the pages of issue #67 of the SPNG Historical Society Journal.
Believe it or not, an original post card of this view sold for over $900.00 on e-bay last year...That is no type-o.
