Robert Sloans excellent book "100+10 years of D&RGW narrow gauge equipment" is a great source of info on these cars as well as the rest of the NG menagerie that once plied the narrow gauge rails in the San Juans. Each piece of equipment or series of cars has some historical text as well as the final disposition (as of the author's publishing date). IMHO, this a "must have" book along with the Narrow Gauge pictorials from Grandt for D&RGW ng fans and modelers. Sloans book can be ordered direct from the author. If you can't find a source (try the Colorado Railroad Museum or Caboose Hobbies in Denver) email me and I will forward the address.
