How many hoppers has the C&TS acquired? Was the quantity based on cost, or the number of loaded hoppers a K-27 could haul from Chama to the summit of the pass (or some other metric)? What is the capacity of one of the hoppers? How does that compare to the weight of one of the coaches? Where is the ballast coming from? Will they be loaded at Chama, Antonito, or somewhere in between? What kind of ballast will be used?
