The foliage in that area would probably be just about right. The area shown in the last photo is a wetland area, and they usually go first. Last Sunday, I stopped at Gillette's Castle which looks out over the CT River Valley and I didn't see much non-green foliage. I suspect that the majority of the color in the Essex area will happen around Oct 18 thru the end of the month. This year has been a little weird, there are pockets of full color already (most of which was stripped off Mon PM with a squall line) but for the most part, the peak is still pending.
