So Andrew Brandon sent me an extremely helpful link to an original lettering schematic for the 3000 series that we're now using to make stencils on number 3010. Something I found very interesting on this diagram is the lettering that is no longer there. Look carefully under the D&RG, and you'll see RIO GRANDE spelled out in block lettering. This was removed from the final drawing, my question, was this livery ever used?
