There was thought that they could possibly make a usable locomotive out of the pieces. The arrival of the #464 pretty much put an end to those thoughts."
Actually the Huckleberry leased Q & TL #3 with the intent of rebuilding and restoring it to service. Shortly thereafter the 464 became available, which was much less of a challenge to return to service.
