Before the washouts Fenoco used to operate 1000-ton cement trains from Bogota to Sogamoso in the northeast, a distance of 262 km by rail. The trains would take 14 hours to cover that. Turistren operates its diesel-hauled student trains (Mo-Fr) up to Cajica (km 37.4) and its railcar (Saturdays & holidays) and steam-hauled (Sundays) tourist trains up to Zipaquira (Km 49.7) on that line. They also operate charter trains on the branch from La Caro (km 31.1) to BriceƱo (Km 43.7). For every train Turistren runs they have to pay for access to Fenoco.

Fenoco also kept the main line to Santa Marta open as far as Facatativa (c. 50 km NW) in order to access El Corzo Workshops just outside Facatativa and their small maintenance facility at Facatativa station. El Corzo is only used for when an overhead crane is needed for heavy maintenance.
