The internet is a great place for grand theft!! We had to rein-in a few folks who were putting up our videos on their youtube sites!!! So now when I make youtube previews, my logo goes on all the shots at 50% so if somebody tries to make them their own they get foiled!!!
The internet is a great thing in many ways, but in other ways it has made everyone believe that whatever is on the internet MUST BE FREE, which of course is not always the case. For example we always use production music when needed for our videos, and we have PAID to use it. This is why when you see a video with recognizable music it is generally used without permission. Network TV and Radio that belong to ASCAP pay a yearly license fee which allows them to use regular music. This allows them to do a story about say...workers in hot job, and play music like "A hard Days Night", etc. The average person could not afford to do that(Music).
With youtube, I think it was designed for folks to share THEIR OWN videos with friends and has morphed into see what I can steal and show you! There seems to be a corrosion of morals in this regard with the younger generation when it comes to electronic media!!!
