Move to save the San Juan extension in 1968-1970.

Hi,

I was wondering on a detail on the move to save the San Juan extension. Was the goal to aquire only west from Antonito or was it to save from Alamosa west?

Hind sight is 20-20. If the Alamosa-Antonito dual gauge had been available and purchased, freight from Antonito to Alamosa would have given a little more income to the C&TS.

Was this even thought of then?
