I assume you are talking of US hwy 285? In that case I suspect you are thinking of Tres Piedras tank at the intersection with US 64.

Embudo is across the river (on the right as you go from Taos to Alb.) from NM state hwy 68. At the foot of Barranca Hill on the RR. the depot with the crunchy shell.
