Hi, Michael -
The United Camp Ground north of Durango has tent sites adjacent to the D&S tracks,
with showers and laundry facilities available. Another plus is that it is served by the free
Durango Trolley, so once there you would not need to drive your car back into town and
pay the very high parking meter fees in the downtown area. I vaguely remember paying
about $20 per night, which is well worth it for the convenience. Of course this may have
gone up a bit recently; I haven't stayed there for a couple of years.

p.s. Here are a few photos of the UCG tent-camping area; they also have hookups for motor homes and trailers.
