The fact is, D&S & C&TS have complete shops that can handle everything in-house, so they would not be interested. The SLRG has thier machine shop well underway and can do most anything except turn wheels.

Wheel lathes are a big capital investment, that for us little guys makes little sense to invest in, considering the number of wheels per year one needs to turn. Even picking up the biz from SLRG, GLRR, Royal Gorge, etc. would take a long time to return one's investment.
