Hi Earl, is there a way to completely drain a water tank so you didn't have the freezing problem? Isn't the intake pipe for the spout a couple of inches above the floor of the tank to prevent sediment and mud from being put into the tender.

I hear for the Chama shop guys that when they do a boiler wash, there is alot of mud getting into the boiler from the stream fed tanks. How big is/was the problem?
