I love train orders. They nice, concise (if you can speak the language) and allow the crew to work through thier own situations. In this case, WX493's work for the day was lined out in one document. Today, this would have been done by track warrants, and would have taken close to 10 different warrants to accomplish the same thing, along with a radio system to support communication between the dispatcher and the crews.
But we would have eliminated the jobs of the operators at the depots, in this case, Dulce.
