Are you referring to South Park City #22? #22 is a VERY tired locomotive, and I have my questions about the condition of the boiler (the banana railroads were like the RGS--they ran their locomotives into the ground). Probably more trouble--and money--than it's worth, at least for South Park City. Besides, I don't think South Park City would part with it. Or wouuld put the time, mony, and effort into it.
IF (a big "if") somebody wanted to restore the #22 and a preliminary inspection showed it to be a worthy candidate for restoration, ship it over the hill to the Georgetown Loop Railroad and hire Phil Reader to work on it. He specializes in bringing small locomotives back from the dead.
IMHO, of course.
