John, I share your thoughts that it is unlikely we will be seeing marijuana unit trains racing across the Class 1's in the near future, but we need to be creative. MJ should be the adopted leaf crop for the Narrow Gauge railroads. After all, both smoking a joint or riding up to Cumbres Pass, will both get you high. 10,015 feet for Cumbres, arguably euphoria for both!
Regardless, I'll continue to prefer that the fireman trying to keep water over the crown sheet on the K-36 and the engineer trying to bring the train safely down the 4% leave the smoking to the firebox.
