In September or so of 2009 a rock came down about a 10th of a mile north of there, damaging the track in a similar fashion. We were running two sections of the 463 that day and this one came down in the 15 minute period between the sections. Naturally, the 2nd section was backed to Silverton and the crew taken home via the company van. The locomotive and consist got to have a sleep over in Silverton.
