According to Koch's
The Shay Locomotive, Titan of the Timber:
C/N 1551 to Western Machinery Company (dealer) in Salt Lake City; then to W. A. Zeinicker Supply Company (dealer), St. Louis, MO; then to Grant Smith & Company (a contractor), St. Louis; then to Sprague & Nisley (a contractor?) in Washington, MO. Not listed in the survivors list at ShayLocomotives.com
C/N 1926 followed the same path.
Sprague & Nisley also had C/N #2145 (NOT an Empire Copper Company locomotive), which was Little Book Cliff RR #4, in Grand Junction CO! So far I haven’t been able to turn up anything at all on the Web about Sprague & Nisley.
