Oregon Lumber Co Shay #7 - Stack Question

Down on the thread on the SVRy Fuel topic there are some interesting comments on Oregon Lumber Shay #7 and her various stacks.
Here is a shot of the Shay in Hofius Steel in Seattle in 1936 just before she was sold to OLC. You can see the lettering for her original owner, New Mexico Lumber Co.
I wonder why OLC changed this stack over to the Rushton stack we see in the OLC photos along the Sumpter Valley Ry.
