Re: outfit car in Bayfield

When I made my notes in the early 90's I had made a quick sketch of the car and wrote the number down as I observed from one side of the car. The lettering was already heavily weathered. I then went to the other side and observed I had misread the last number. The car was acquired from the scrapper by a Mr Wayne Lee who worked/or had worked for the D&RGW as a brakeman. As can be seen the car in the most recent photos had been moved since I had taken my photos. It had been moved to the current location by a contractor for a gas company and the two pipes placed under the car for support and to make moving it easier. The move was probably in the late 90's and Mr Lee told me he thought the frame had been broken.
