So I got curious about this railroad and did some poking around on Google Earth. Put these coordinates in and see something very amazing.

Patio de Ferrocarriles

23º20'06.73"S 69º50'21.32W

Fly here and zoom in.

Sort of a narrow gauge Nevada Northern!

You can then follow the line back west past a gigantic copper mine to the coast.
