Yes, I have wondered that as well.
Along those lines, or perhaps it is an additional thought, in going through this material I once in awhile come across a name of someone I knew.
Yesterday I started typing a post for July 21, 1936. When I looked at the names of the dispatchers on duty that date I was surprised to see one very familiar to me. Years later he was one of the dispatchers at Grand Junction. I had dealings with him during the period he was at Grand Junction and did not, at that time, realize he had worked on the narrow gauge. Of course, I was a few years younger then but I wish I would have realized how much enjoyment I could have had hearing his narrow gauge days stories.
