I'm not sure what you mean by on ice. To put her back in service will take about $50,000 in materials and outside work, plus 1700 to 1800 man-hours of labor. My annual equipment repair budget is $40,000. I am trying to get permission to try raising funds outside the park system, seeking grants and/or donations.
Our 4-6-0 is a 1920 Baldwin built for the US Government and used in the construction of the Alaska Railroad.
