Mike, old friend, I'm quite calm, and despite what some people WANT to believe, I think I DO understand what its like in Chama (....at least the best I can after talking to another resident for over an hour the other day, and having more than once experienced firsthand the frustration of having some gubmint dude say "No you can't" like he was sum Gawd).
I'm just sitting here wondering why it is that we keep falling into the same trap...A certain fellow acts like a loudmouthed pompous jerk, and when (you) finally get a bellyful and object, then suddenly HE is the victim and (YOU) are a bully. ....Worse, why am I always amazed that there are guys who not only make excuses for it, but seem to think it is right (Lets face it, practice has made him real GOOD at it)?
What REALLY sucks is that dealing with this crap has wasted a LOT of bandwidth MUCH better suited to talkin about narry gauge choo-choos, and diverted some much needed energy from the task of actually DOING something positive.
I do want to apologise to Kim, Roger, 99% of the residents of Chama and those in Antonito for losing patience and focus by dealing with what is, in essence, just a petty and chronic problem, especially in the face of their crisis.
