I didn't think I could stump you guys with that pic. But I had to tease you a bit. Yes Old Betsy is what is missing

Betsy wanted a change of scenery, after sitting in the same spot for over 60 years.
Fret not she is safe and sound in the back lot. There are no plans for her to leave. She will return to her same ol spot sometime after next week.

Truth is this section of Ghost Town had all the asphalt removed and replaced with concrete. So old Betsy had to be moved.(FYI according to the scale on the crane she weigh's 12,000lbs) The new concrete has small rocks mixed in that make it look like dirt. It looks really good.



Next Friday myself and others will be rebuilding the track with new rail and ties. The new track will sit on top of the concrete. Unlike before when it was buried sinking into the asphalt. Ill be taking pictures that day and will post them later. I hope to be there to take pictures when she is put back.

If you notice in the photo of her location now, they built a wood box around the tree that she was previously touching. This means she will be about three feet further back than before and far away from the tree.

Also the second ore car is nearly completed, so when Old Betsy goes back so will both the ore cars.
