One of the best "reading books" ( only a small number of photos) is "Going Railroading" by Sam Speas. Bought in in Como last
summer where my wife and I spent our anniversary. They have a nice selection of C&S narrow gauge related books for a very reasonable price.
But " Going Railroading " is as good as everyone told me it was. Factual
history about the very events that happened on the C&S narrow gauge main line including all the railroaders who lost their lives working
out of Como.
The other book would have to be if you are more of the D&RG type;
"Rio Grande GLORY Days" by Gil Lathrop. The picture books are OK
but the biographys are great! I love especially the period of the 20s and 30s when steam was king!!
