Was just looking a picture of CG made in the late 1890's. There was barely a tree standing in that area. Kind of nice to see it reforested. Upon the completion of the Joker tunnel, I understand the RR terminated there. Since there was no longer access to the wye at Ironton (assumption) did the locomotive back downgrade to Joker, or did they back upgrade on the return trip?
