Re: Places on the Colorado Railroad Museum Loop

The first Gato Shop was the closed off portion of the front porch of Bob's house. It was moved into the narrow gauge pullman car body in 1965,and into a the UP box car body in the late 1980's. At one time the shop "complex" consisted of a 50 ft.box car body a standard gauge copola less caboose body, a narrow gauge baggage car body, the pullman body, and a couple of wooden sheds. DRGW box car S-3272 was parts storage.

It has just occurred to me that it was 50 years ago that I first started to volunteer at the Museum. A lot of good memories, good friends, hard work. The crew today has is made with that nice roundhouse. In my day, oh well. Never mind.
