Engineer Charles Boyd, who relieved Emmitt J. Freeman on the Chili Line on this date, later was an engineer on the San Juan. Freeman finished on the standard gauge passenger train, his run being from Alamosa to La Veta.. When he retired Oscar Caldwell replaced him. Caldwell was on the other Chili Line train on this date.
Ed Donaldson had a 1909 seniority date and was still working in the 1950s. George Satterstrum was a WWI veteran. He was hired as a fireman in 1905. He was gone by 1937.
Pagosa Springs engineer Phil Voigt was number 6 on the Alamosa-Durango combined seniority list and No. 2 in the Durango area.
