Below is an overlay for Broad Spur/Dalton. The valuation maps have a page break right at MP 339 so I had to merge two pages to come up with this. In the process I lost some of the text but the map does show it as "Broad Spur". The spur length is listed as 611' "Trk No 2 611'".
I received quite a bit of information back channel on this from someone that used to post here. There is also some information in Dorman's Chama.
I also found Frank Broad in the 1910 Chama census as being a merchant in a general store as well as his lumber activities. He must have passed away before 1930 as I find his wife Anna K. widowed and living in Durango with her father Robert E. Sloan. Would the author of the freight car book be a relative of that Robert Sloan? That Robert Sloan would be too old to be the author.
Another view zoomed in a little tighter.
