Mr. Hunter,
My heartfelt thanks for bringing this clip and wesite to our attention! After consulting with our extended research team the location of of the clip has been identified as Kalihi-Kai on the OR&L double track main line near the Libby cannery in Honolulu. The first locomotive appears to be No. 39, a 1909 ALCO 2-8-0 followed by No. 34, ALCO, 1934, 2-8-0 and then No. 32, another 2-8-0 ALCO of 1913. (The numbering system of the OR&L follows absolutely no reason) Both Nos. 32 and 34 were sold to The Salvador Railway Company Limited (Ferrocarril de El Salvador) in December 1950 where they served until the 1970's and then scrapped. No. 32 was one of only two OR&L locomotives to be superheated. The OR&L didn't use a caboose although they had one. The first car of most trains was a boxcar used as a crew car and for LCL freight. Can't really tell from the clip if the crates in the pineapple cars being pulled by No. 32 along with the boxcars are full or empty. After searching this website I've located some other OR&L clips which will add to our growing body of knowledge.
