Alright, I just have to comment on this one again after finally watching the video. That was hilarious!
On the topic of humorous railroad songs, has anybody heard the one entitled "The Model Railroader's Wife"? It was written by Marc Sal and sung at the Hostlers Model Railroad Festival Banquet last year.
The words are as follows:
Oh, I've been buildin' model railroads,
All my adult life,
I've been buildin' model railroads,
even though it bugs my wife;
"Can't you get a normal hobby",
sometimes she says to me;
"Like golf, or muscle cars or even,
IN-FE-DEL-IT-EEEE!"
"Ooooh,
How much did you blow?
How much did you blow?
How much did you blow on trains this time?
Someone better clean up that base-ment;
Someone better clean up that track;
Someone better throw out that lay-out;
Or I'll even never come back!
We're talkin' D-I-V-O-R-C-E,
D-I-V-O-R-C-E-E
D-I-V-O-R-C-E,
Choose between your trains and me."
Trains...Marriage...Hmmm, 'tis indeed a mystery.
Oooh,
Now I've been building model railroads,
All the livelong day;
Can't stop building model railroads,
I've got O-C-D they say;
Now, I build my model railroads,
ALL OVER THE HOUSE!
THere's a switchyard in the bathroom...
Supposedly Mr. Sal got death threats for this song. Then again, he gets death threats over everything he writes (newspaper columnist. What do you expect?)
Not that that compares in any way to your foamite song, but I thought it was apporopriate to share it.
