Too bad it had to make way for a parking lot. I love the stonework. Maybe that kind of stonework was so common around Durango that nobody noticed....but for me it just crieds out as something that should have been preserved and adapted to some new use. I have figured out from several sources (thanks!)...including my failing memory...that it was the Telluride Iron Works. Which is still in business, just not in that location.
