It looks like Frank Owenby didn't get to stay on the passenger board long as the train was discontinued. I imagine he got the slot when Dan Holly retired. Holly mayt have followed A.H. Baskett and Henry Nissen followed Tim Coughlin, at least that is what it looks like.
On the Salida side O.E. Shewalter was the top narrow gauge hoghead. Without the train sheets I don't know for sure but he must have had the Shavano. That seems like a plum run compared to freight service. Also, since I don't know when Shewalter retired I can't say if he was on the last run or if Frank Fitzsimmons had it.
It is interesting to note that Shewalter had nine fewer years of seniority than his Fourth Division counterpart J.W. Hopper. The standard gauge guys were on another list.
Gunnison engineer C.A. Kroll was the senior narrow gauge engineer in 1937, hiring out on 4-1-1885. He had seniority on the Montrose-Grand Junction standard gauge as well.
