I, too, think this is a suspicious way to handle donations, especially when you consider what has been posted over at the Goat. In this post from JeanL, JeanL seems to indicate that he/she setup the paypal account:

I set this up to make it easier for people to donate. Paypal probably does take a percentage. So what? The people who will donate via Paypal (like me) don't want to take the time to write a check, address an envelope and mail it. So the choice is contribution less commission or ZERO.

I don't think the public should provide money to a totally incompetent, corrupt operating company. Having taxpayers "save" Chama is stealing from their neighbors anyway, but saving this bunch...who I suspect burned the bridge in the first place...is beyond immoral.
